What is counseling at CPR?

Counseling at CPR is a process by which our professionally trained counselors help people work through their situations to identify their problems and the possible solutions they have in themselves to solve them.

Who provides the Counseling at CPR?

Counseling services at CPR are provided by professionally qualified and certified counselors who obtained their Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate with other professional specializations in counseling.

How many sessions will I need?

We can only determine the number of sessions needed at the first consultation session. The number of sessions required is dependent on the goals of the session and the best therapy to be employed for an effective management of the issue. The sessions may be spread over four to six weeks.

How long does a session last?

Each session has an allocated duration of an hour. However, depending on the cases for counseling, which may require outlining of detailed information needed for the successful completion of the sessions; the sessions may be scheduled between one to four hours per day. Other sessions can be handled by phone

Will I be charged if I have to cancel an appointment?

Yes we let people pay a fee for missing appointment when a pre-information is not given.

What if I do not know how to even explain my case?

Some people find it difficult to explain what has been happening to them and how they feel. Yes! That also forms part of the reasons why you have come to us. We will work together with you through the process.

What are the bases of your counseling approach?

At CPR our counseling approach is based on the Creation Theory.

What about ending counseling?

Ending your counseling depends largely on you. It depends on your state of recovery or choice of other options.

How do I get my partner to come if he/she is not willing?

That in itself is an indication of why you need a counselor. You may want to come to CPR and we can together find ways to get your partner involved.

How do I trust CPR with issues confidential to me?

Confidentiality is an ethical issue in our professional practice. Issues discussed at sessions are kept confidentially from any third party. Except in the case of personal written permission, when life is going to be lost or the law court issued a subpoena.

How do I know that this will work for me?

We all handle our personal struggles differently, however, when an effective approach to solving the issue is employed by the counselor, the result turns out to be great. The clients can testify the personal improvement the therapy has had on him or her.

Should I see a psychologist or a counsellor?

It depends on your choice of service. We have professionally qualified and certified counselors who can help you decide which of the two services best works in solving the problem.

What will happen during sessions?

Your personal account of the issue and detailed information are outlined at the first session; to share your concerns. You may need courage to talk about some difficult aspect of your issue which will enhance your interest to understanding and working towards a resolution – start developing goals. After which, the subsequent session dwells on how the client perceives things, feels and behaves negatively or positively with regards to the outlined issues. Solution to better cope effectively with the issue while feeling better inwardly and outwardly will be derived together with the counselor. Goals set during the session will be reviewed from time to time during the sessions.

Do I need a referral to come and see you?

No referrals needed. Place a call to our customer service desk and schedule an appointment for your counseling session.

Who do you work with?

We work with both men and women, married, single or divorced, children, organisations, families and groups.

Opening Hours

Monday to Friday from 9am to 7pm. We may also schedule some sessions for weekends, if necessary

How soon can I get an appointment?

A session can be scheduled within 24 hours after receipt of completed online intake form. However, depending on the urgency of the issue, appointments can be schedule same day
